SAVA 2011

This year sava sprints international 7!!! 10 and 11 sep 2011.

10 sept

today was the premier mixed and tertiary women sets.

first the mixed. after the heats, i somehow ended up pacing the next few sets with alicia.

but suprising the feel was very good. kinda shocking taking that we nv did any race set as a mixed boat before!!! though we ended up in the plate finals. i think it was a good push.

oh, and the charge, just love the power!!! =)

for tertiary women, we got 4th in round 1, with the difference being less than one sec from first to last. so it was kinda like anyone's game.

first set, our first six cocked up, but i can say this maintenance and charge feel was the best one ever.

and seeing that we were the only sch that had to go down directly after mixed repecharge, it was a good set.

then set 2. starts was okay, maintenance and charge, same as first set but with everyone's all out, ( haha at charge everyone starting screaming their lungs out) we ended up FIRST!!!! in round2 winning RP!!! waaa... it just felt good lor.

event though the overrall results was that we got 3 still losing to rp, but at least it shows that it is not impossible to beat them.

but so weird that just nice the added up timing, came up with 2 1st and 2 3rd. hehe

hmmm... guess rowing with little expectations may sometimes just giv u a lot of surprises! =)

maybe bcus there's no stress to perform. hmm... proven more than once. haha

11 sept. today.

hmmm... think the day didnt start off very good but didnt end off very good as well.

1 out of lane set, one collision set.

hmm... think i am kinda getting used to it. :x

maybe cause of the wind or water condition, the boat didnt feel as good as yesterday.

but it was a good push for the plate finals 20 crew and 10 cerw grand finals!!

congrats on 1st place!!

today went home with no medal but a number of learning experiences.

think i wasnt as calm as yesterday as well when pacing today.

hmm.. maybe its the problem of the stress as well again.

i guess for MR500 and SAVA, rowers will like it but for the coxswains... hahaha jia you lo!!!

this kinda sums up my weekend and this year's SAVA!

exams again

Today mark the first day of year 2 sem 1 examinations.

As i start to countdown to the 18 august 6pm where the examination ends.

i gotta focus, i gotta focus hard and be alert today. i cannot let anymore careless mistakes happen again.

i want my As i dun want the Bs. or other alphabets.

just A please, just A.

every exam i say the same thing.

i know i havent been working hard but please still let me get good grades.!

i shall not follow my brother mistakes.

today's paper is at 4pm!! woke up at 730, been almost 5 hours alrdy, and there is still 4 hours to go.

really hope i can do the questions. and without stupid mistakes.

wish me luck ppl.

epic finale

wahaha....

watching harry potter finale on friday!!!

still remember the first show i watch was with my cousins.

Then as time passed, we grew up and went to watch with friends.

Its a nice feeling now that at the finale movie,

I am watching with my cousins again.

=)

CANT WAIT!

As everything starts all over again.

As 9 july concludes it marks the end of POL-ITE for this year.

it marks the end of wishing to be first for this year.

we can only train harder and prepare for the next.

SDBF POL-ITE we got 2nd again. lost at the same part AGAIN.

perhaps we are just nt strong enough.

our best is just not as good as their best?

hmmm...

maybe that isnt it, probably we are just not used to giving our best that we cant do it during race.

tertiary sets was disappointments...forget about it.

And as POL-ITE and SDBF concludes,

there goes another 2 of our rowers....

CAN THERE BE A TIME WHERE EVERYONE STAYS AFTER A RACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if this is the case we will never win because our rowers keeps changing!!

haiz...

i shall train hard to be stronger,

i shall train them hard to be strong.

but firstly, i gotta learn to lead.

then there comes another problem.

make a choice.

i dunno what i want anymore.

TIRED?hmm...

maybe i am not so strong afterall.

i can train my body but can i train my mind?

try again next year.

As the race concludes, the biggest race for the year ends.

We fought hard, trained hard.

but just sad to say our best just werent enough.

COMPOSED and AGRESSIVE. UNITY and TRUST.

we stayed composed as we trust. we were agressive, but just not enough.

We lost the same way yet again.

leading the pack at the first half,

and get eaten up at the back.

whats this?

time to learn our lesson!

though not the golden cookie we wanted but we did our best.

the best set we did. i am PROUD.

As today being the 183rd day of 2011,

half the year have passed,

i announce here that the second half of the year will be better.

whats done is done, we can only look forward.
